Suriya’s ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ is continuing its theatrical run in its third week. The film witnessed a major dip in earnings on its third Monday. According to Sacnilk, the movie collected an estimated Rs 75 lakhs net in India on Day 18. It was screened across 1,280 shows.The latest figure takes the film’s total India net collection to Rs 116.75 crore. Its domestic gross has reached Rs 135.17 crore.

The Suriya-starrer added around Rs 30 lakhs from overseas markets on Day 18. This takes its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 64.50 crore.‘Vishwanath and Sons’ has now reached an estimated Rs 199.67 crore worldwide.The latest Monday figure is 70.6% lower than Sunday’s Rs 2.55 crore net. The film had opened its third weekend with Rs 1.70 crore on Friday. It then recorded Rs 2.60 crore on Saturday. Sunday brought another Rs 2.55 crore.

Third-week collections see a sharp Monday decline

The film’s third week began with a relatively modest Rs 1.70 crore collection. It then benefited from the weekend boost. Saturday saw the earnings rise to Rs 2.60 crore.Sunday remained steady at Rs 2.55 crore. However, Monday brought a sharp correction. The film eventually settled at Rs 75 lakhs for Day 18.Before entering its third week, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ had collected Rs 81.60 crore during its first week. Tamil and Telugu versions drive Day 18 business

The Telugu version remained the bigger contributor on Monday. It collected Rs 40 lakhs net. The Tamil version added Rs 35 lakhs.The Telugu release recorded an overall occupancy of 15.97%. Its night shows performed the strongest at 17.91%. The Tamil version registered a higher overall occupancy of 25.34%.
