The cast of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ rolled into the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday for a 25th anniversary celebration of the hit franchise.This year’s Cannes is largely bereft of Hollywood films. But to help cover the blockbuster-sized hole in this year’s lineup, the French festival is hosting a midnight screening of the first release in the 10-movie series.On Wednesday, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster posed for photographers in Cannes. They were joined by Meadow Walker, the 27-year-old daughter of late actor Paul Walker. In 2013, Walker died in a tragic car crash in a Los Angeles.At the red carpet event, Diesel looked especially happy as he hugged Meadow while Michelle and Jordana looked on with a smile.Later the same evening, the cast assembled on the red carpet for ‘The Fast and the Furious’ screening in the midnight slot. For the screening, the cast hit the red carpet in formal attire and evening gowns. Vin, dressed in an embellished ‘Fast Forever’ jacket, was seen goofing around with the photographers as he put on some quirky poses.He was seen giving Meadow a warm welcome on the carpet as she joined the team pose for photos


Vin Diesel gives speech at theatre
Once inside, Vin took over the mic to give a speech, where he shared that Meadow Walker “represents the brotherhood” that he and her father, Paul Walker, shared during ‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise.The ‘Fast & Furious’ movies have collected more than USD 7 billion in box office. An 11th installment titled ‘Fast Forever’ is scheduled to be release in March 2028 by Universal Pictures. As per reports on Wednesday, a web series is also in the works.
