‘Rao Bahadur’ is officially set to stream digitally on Netflix. The OTT giant took to its X handle to reveal that the film will be available to watch online from July 31, 2026 onwards.Sharing the update, the platform wrote, “Samajika nibandhanalatho mee burrani kadagadaniki Rao Bahadur osthunnadu!” (Rao Bahadur is here to scrub your mind free of society’s rules!)Apart from Telugu, ‘Rao Bahadur’ will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, allowing audiences across different languages to watch the film from the comfort of their homes.
About ‘Rao Bahadur’
Talking about the film, ‘Rao Bahadur’ tells the story of a terminally ill aristocrat who lives in his ancestral home, Bhuvanalayam. He spends his final days trying to prove that his late younger son, Kusuma, was not his biological child. His wife Renuka lives in isolation after Kusuma’s death, while their elder son Lavana tries to keep the family together.As the film moves forward, flashbacks show how Ramappa’s obsession with protecting his family’s bloodline slowly destroyed his family. He secretly exhumes Kusuma’s remains for a DNA test. The results prove that Kusuma was his biological son. The story has another shocking reveal further ahead as the film progresses.
