Speaking about the possibility of becoming an actor in an interview with SS Music, Jason Sanjay said, “Till ‘Sigma’ releases, I want my full focus on that, as I shouldn’t get deviated. Sigma is a big opportunity for me. After ‘Sigma’ releases, if something interesting comes, I’ll definitely act.” He also revealed the genres he would prefer to explore if he eventually takes up acting. “If I get into acting, I’ll do my initial films in the rom-com genre, to be myself. I like the sci-fi genre, so I’ll later explore that too,” he added. His comments have now sparked curiosity about whether the young filmmaker could soon make his acting debut.
Jason Sanjay reveals his green flags and red flags in a partner
Jason Sanjay also gave an interesting glimpse into his personal preferences while speaking about relationships. He said he would want a partner who loves food, enjoys travelling and exploring new places and is financially independent. At the same time, he listed a few things he considers red flags. He said he would find someone who is high-maintenance difficult to connect with. He also stressed the importance of enjoying Tamil cinema and music, explaining that movie references are part of his everyday conversations. “If they don’t watch Tamil movies and songs, then it is a red flag because I’ll give references from movies. If they are not able to catch them, then there is no vibe,” he said.

Away from films and relationships, Jason Sanjay also shared an amusing story about earning his first salary. He revealed that he worked as a freelance professional for advertising agencies after finding opportunities through LinkedIn. His first regular job, however, was at a small theatre abroad, where he worked as a cashier. The reason was simple—he wanted to watch movies for free. Recalling the experience, Jason Sanjay said, “Sometimes the theatres would be empty. I would put up a closed board and watch the films alone.His story shows that his love for cinema began long before he entered the industry, and now ‘Sigma’ gives him a chance to build his own identity behind the camera.
