Olivia Wilde remembers the intense action and the accident

Olivia Wilde shares a deadly incident that could have cost her life, on the set of Jon Favreau’s 2011 Western action movie. “Walt Goggins saved my life on that movie,” the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ filmmaker said, before adding, “He did. I had a very bad horse accident, and he saved me. It was me and Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford galloping, like, full sprint across the desert with 40 horses behind us.”As the camera rolled, the horse jumped into a large ditch, which caused the actress to lose her balance and be thrown off. “I fell off. I hit my head and my back, and I was lying [on the ground], but, unfortunately, I was on the other side of this kind of lip of dirt, meaning that all the horses behind couldn’t see me,” she said, her ears touching the ground as she listened to the herd coming at her with full force. “It sounded like thunder, like they were coming towards me. And I had the thought — it sounds so dramatic — but I thought, it’ll be quick. It’ll be like, pulverised applesauce. Out,” the ‘Booksmart’ director quipped.

And so I owe him my life. It’s crazy. He’s a real-life hero.”As for Olivia Wilde’s latest project, her directorial film, ‘The Invite,’ recently hit theatres on June 26, 2026.
