Rajinikanth has reflected on his life before stardom, revealing that he still misses his days as a bus conductor in Bengaluru. During a promotional event for his upcoming film ‘Jailer 2’, the veteran actor spoke about the five years he spent in the profession before entering the film industry. Despite becoming one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars, Rajinikanth said he has never stopped feeling connected to his former job.
Rajinikanth says he still misses his bus conductor days
Speaking at the event, Rajinikanth said that while he enjoys acting, his attachment to his former profession remains strong. He recalled spending five years working as a bus conductor and admitted that he continues to miss those days.“I enjoy acting, but I am also deeply interested in working as a bus conductor. I spent five years working as a bus conductor, and even now, I still miss that job. Deep in my heart, I have always felt a strong connection to the conductor’s job. To be honest, I have never really felt like a big superstar,” he said.The actor’s remarks offered a glimpse into the life he led before achieving fame and reflected the lasting place his early experiences hold in his life.
Bengaluru brings back Rajinikanth’s old memories
Rajinikanth also spoke about how visiting Bengaluru takes him back to his years as a bus conductor. He said that seeing buses in the city often brings back memories of that phase of his life.“Whenever I visit the city, I often find myself thinking about my days as a bus conductor. Whenever I see a bus, I feel very happy. Recently, when I visited Bengaluru, I realized once again how deeply connected I am to the job,” he said.He added that his former profession would always remain part of his identity, regardless of his achievements in cinema.“No matter what I do, a part of me will always identify as a bus conductor. Bus conductors will always remain humble in front of big personalities,” the actor said.
