As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce get ready for their ‘happily ever after’ following their dreamy wedding at Madison Square Garden, attention has now shifted to what could be one of the most high-profile prenuptial agreements in recent celebrity history.Long before the couple could wed, various news reports have claimed that the couple faces a huge prenuptial hurdle owing to their high networths, assets, and verious other financial deals, pertaining to their careers.According to the Daily Mail, Taylor and Travis have are believed to have signed an extensive 40-page prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in front of their 1,000 guests. The publication suggests that given the scale of their combined wealth, the document could be extensive, and cover various fields. While neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the existence of the document or the terms of a prenup, a Manhattan-based divorce attorney Jacqueline Newman, offered her professional opinion on how such an agreement would likely be structured. “I think the prenup is actually going to be a pretty simple document – what’s his right now will be his and what’s hers is hers,” Newman told the Daily Mail. The attorney, who specialises in high-net-worth divorces and matrimonial negotiations, suggested that assets acquired before the marriage would likely remain separate, while jointly purchased assets using joint names, like a home, “they’d both get back what they put in plus any appreciation,” she explained.According to the report, one of the more unusual provisions that could reportedly be included is a ‘privacy clause’. The report suggests that such a clause could potentially restrict either party from publicly discussing aspects of the relationship following a separation, with speculation centred on Swift’s songwriting and history of drawing inspiration from personal experiences. However, Newman stressed that the couple’s future earnings would likely remain separate, “Unless they decide to do something together in some capacity.”The report also lists the vast difference between the couple’s respective fortunes. Swift, who entered the billionaire’s club, following the success of The Eras Tour, is widely regarded as one of the wealthiest musicians in the world. Her business empire spans music, film, publishing rights and real estate. Her property portfolio includes multi-million dollar residences in New York, Rhode Island, California and Tennessee. She also owns a USD 55 million Dassault Falcon 7X private jet. The Daily Mail notes that her music catalogue generates over USD 250 million including streaming revenue, in addition to earnings from touring, merchandising and film projects, including over USD 100 million in film deals.Kelce, meanwhile, has built a successful career both on and off the football field.
