Mandisa talks about Danny Glover’s health

Mandisa noticed the initial shift after Glover received the Oscars’ Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 2022. “The history of my dad is that he remembers every single thing back to 1970, what corner he was standing on, who he spoke to, what they spoke about, what color they were wearing, everything,” Mandisa told the outlet, before adding that the pieces of the stories would be missing when he told about his parents. “He’d tell you so much about his parents — and I’ve heard those stories over and over — and pieces were missing. There would be pieces of the story missing. I said, ‘I wonder what’s going on,’” she explained about the initial stage. However, these days he does remember his mother, who unfortunately passed away in a car accident in the 1980s. “Guess what my mother wanted to be? An actress,” he said to the outlet. Over the decades, Danny Glover left an indelible mark on Hollywood with films like ‘Places in the Heart,’ ‘The Color Purple,’ ‘Silverado,’ and many more.
