Girish AD’s ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ has continued its impressive theatrical run with a strong performance on its 17th day. The Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju starrer witnessed a noticeable rise in collections during its third weekend.According to Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 8.10 cr net on Day 17 from 1,855 shows across India. The latest figures take its India gross collection to Rs 144.10 cr. Its India net total has reached Rs 123.40 cr so far. The film has also maintained a strong hold in overseas markets. It collected Rs 4.00 cr on Day 17. This takes its cumulative overseas gross collection to Rs 121.00 cr.
Day 17 collection grows by 15.7%
Sunday brought a good improvement for ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’. The film had collected Rs 5.65 cr on Day 16. Its Day 17 earnings increased to Rs 8.10 cr. The latest figure represents a 15.7% growth compared with the previous day’s reported net collection of Rs 7.00 cr.The third weekend has contributed strongly to the movie’s recent performance. ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ earned Rs 6.15 cr on Day 15, followed by Rs 5.65 cr on Day 16. Sunday then delivered the biggest collection of the three-day weekend.
Third weekend strengthens the box-office run
The film had already recorded substantial collections during its first two weeks. ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ finished its opening week with Rs 52.30 cr. The movie added another Rs 49.85 cr during Week 2. The Malayalam version continued to be the primary contributor on Day 17. It earned Rs 6.55 cr, while the Tamil version contributed Rs 75 lakhs. The Telugu version added another Rs 80 lakhs to the day’s India net collection.
Strong occupancy across Malayalam screenings
The Malayalam 2D version also recorded healthy audience turnout on Sunday. Its overall occupancy stood at 77.10%. Morning screenings registered 61.50% occupancy. The afternoon shows improved to 81.83%. Evening performances recorded the highest occupancy of the day at 87.75%. Night shows also remained strong. They recorded an occupancy of 77.33%.State-wise figures further highlighted the film’s performance in Kerala. The movie generated a gross of Rs 6.75 cr in Kerala on Day 17. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 1.10 cr, while Karnataka added Rs 65 lakhs. APTG contributed Rs 75 lakhs to the day’s gross. The rest of India added another Rs 20 lakhs. The total India gross for Day 17 stood at Rs 9.45 cr.
‘Khalifa’ remains behind worldwide
Meanwhile, ‘Khalifa’, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, continues its theatrical run with a considerably lower worldwide total. The film has recorded an India gross of Rs 24.18 cr. Its India net collection currently stands at Rs 21.16 cr.
