According to a report by Mid-day, during a recent success meet, the film’s lyricist Anantha Sriram spoke about the criticism faced by Buchi Babu Sana. He said he was disappointed that the director felt the need to apologise for his creative choices.He shared that filmmakers should have the freedom to create characters and tell stories based on their own vision. He suggested that increasing pressure from social media reactions is making things more difficult for creators. He also questioned whether directors today are getting enough freedom to express their ideas without facing immediate public criticism.

Following the outburst, Buchi Babu Sana responded with a public statement. He said the team never intended to disrespect or objectify women. The director also assured audiences that some of the controversial scenes would be edited or removed from the film. Buchi Babu Sana later explained that his intention was to show the lead character’s rural background and raw personality. He said the scenes were designed to reflect the character’s mindset and not to disrespect women. However, he also acknowledged that some audiences interpreted the scenes differently and accepted their concerns.
