‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has been taking its theatrical release by storm since its release. While the movie has received mixed reviews, it is still gaining traction at the box office. Although many beloved stars appear in the film, a few skipped out on the project midway through. Here’s why big names such as Mika Singh and even Sanjay Dutt dropped out of the movie before its release.
Why many celebrities dropped out of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’
Many famous names were attached to the film when it was first announced, and early promotions started. However, over a couple of months, many of these people had to drop out of the project for one reason or another. Variety recently reported that Sanjay Dutt was actively involved in the film, and Akshay Kumar had even shared a video on his Instagram to welcome him to the franchise; however, the veteran star later backed away due to health reasons.As for Mika Singh, there is currently no clear reason why he dropped out of the film. The artist had even briefly appeared in one of the film’s teasers, which excited fans; however, he did not make an appearance in the movie itself.Even ‘The Family Man’ star Sharib Hashmi was a part of the franchise; however, he couldn’t sign up for the film due to filming and scheduling clashes with his series. He also shared that, “I signed the film when there was no clash with any other project, but the shooting got delayed.” Similarly, Rahul Dev from ‘Ikkis’ had also been excited to join the third film of the series; however, because of scheduling clashes, he was unable to greenlight the project from his end.Inaamulhaq explained that while he wanted to work on the project, he had no clarity about his role, which pushed him away from the project. He commented on the matter and shared that, “How could I be in a film if I don’t know what kind of world I am going to be part of?”
