The couple had shared the happy news through an adorable social media announcement, and ever since, proud grandfather Suniel Shetty has been openly expressing his excitement about this new chapter in his life. In a recent interview, the veteran actor fondly described his granddaughter as the “2.0 version of Athiya” and spoke about the joy of becoming a grandfather at 64.During a conversation with the Free Press Journal, Suniel revealed that little Evaarah has already begun calling him “Aaja,” the Tulu word for grandfather. Sharing how attached he is to the little one, he said, “She is exactly like Athiya, in fact a 2.0 version of her. I spend every free moment with her.”The actor also opened up about his daily routine and how his granddaughter has become the highlight of his day. Suniel shared that he begins his mornings at the gym between 5:30 am and 7 am before heading home to spend time with Evaarah. Calling this phase one of the happiest periods of his life, he admitted that despite his hectic work schedule, he is always eager to return home to his “ghar ki Lakshmi.”Interestingly, Suniel and KL Rahul live in the same building in Pali Hill, which allows the actor to frequently visit Athiya and spend quality time with his granddaughter.Meanwhile, Athiya and Rahul recently celebrated Evaarah’s first birthday on March 24. While the couple chose not to reveal their daughter’s face in the photos shared online, they posted several adorable glimpses from the intimate celebration.
