The cast of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has been on a press tour promoting the film. During one of the scheduled interviews, the lead actor, Tom Holland, ended up teasing some new themes about the film. From the introduction of new villains to the darker themes, the ‘Odyssey’ got candid about what fans can expect from the July 31 release.

Tom Holland teases ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

While featuring on the ‘ Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, the cast of the latest ‘Spider-Man’ film laid it all bare about what fans can expect from the upcoming movie. Holland called the upcoming film “one of the darkest chapters” of Peter Parker’s life, and even talked about how his character has chosen to live in isolation. He also commented that, “A lesson he learned from Andrew’s character in the previous movie is sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help, and I think he is actively ignoring that advice. And it’s having a profound effect on his life as a human being.”However, his superhero is completely different and “thriving.” The actor commented that fans would be seeing the truest version of Spider-Man in the upcoming film. A lot of details have been focused upon, including the Spider-Man costume, which has been remade to pay homage to Tobey Maguire’s original Spider-Man suit. He also added, “[Spider-Man] is thriving. We’re probably seeing the most truthful version of what Spider-Man means to New York City. The smashing of those two worlds is such a fun thing to play with.”

About ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

The upcoming film will be set a few years after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, after Peter Parker makes everyone forget two years through Doctor Strange’s spell. Spider-Man is back to saving New York City; however, this time around he does not have anybody with him. Though he continues to look after his friends who are enjoying their college life, things start to change with him. The movie will have Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo reprise their roles in the MCU.Sadie Sink, who is best known for her work in ‘The Whale’ and ‘Stranger Things’ is also set to star in the film; however, the nature of her character on the big screen has been kept under wraps. Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, is also rumored to make a cameo in the latest Spider-Man film; however, nothing has been confirmed yet. Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III, Eman Esfandi, and Liza Colón-Zayas are alos joining the cast as new characters.
