Salman Khan makes a BIG statement on biopic of his life: ‘There’s a lot in my life which could lead to the reputation of a lot of people sinking’

Salman Khan, who is getting ready for the release of his war drama ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’, has responded to talk about a biopic on his life. The actor also denied rumours that the government pressured him to change the film’s script.

What Salman Khan said at the Mumbai event

Salman Khan attended a special event for the film on Friday in Andheri West, Mumbai, along with his co-actors. When a reporter asked if the film is a biopic, he said it is inspired by the Galwan clash. The conversation then moved to a possible biopic on his own life.Responding to this, he told the media, “There’s nothing in my life that will make a film a superhit. However, there’s a lot in my life which could lead to the reputation of a lot of people sinking.”

Government pressure rumours denied

Salman Khan also dismissed the rumours that the government had pressured him to alter the script of the film.

The Galwan clash behind the film

‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ was earlier titled ‘Galwan’. It is inspired by the standoff between India and China on June 15, 2020, during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India. Troops from both sides clashed in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh as part of a wider border standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The clash turned violent when both sides tried to patrol disputed areas.

Deadliest face-off in over four decades

The fighting killed 20 Indian soldiers, and China also suffered casualties. It was the deadliest India-China face-off in more than four decades. It raised tensions and led both countries to send more troops to the border and begin diplomatic talks to avoid further conflict. India and China have since improved their ties and opened several channels of diplomacy.
