The demise of veteran actor Nana Patekar has prompted an outpouring of tributes from across the Indian film industry. Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt were among those who remembered the actor.Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75 on October 8, (Thursday) morning after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa. He was taken to Manipal Hospital, where doctors attempted to revive him for around 45 minutes.The actor was declared dead at approximately 5:20 am. His death brought an end to a career spanning several decades across Hindi and Marathi cinema.

Juhi Chawla recalls working with Nana Patekar

Juhi Chawla remembered her association with Nana Patekar through their work in ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’ and ‘Gang’. She also looked back on occasions when she visited his home in Dadar during Ganpati celebrations.The actress said several memories returned to her after learning about his death. She also praised the authenticity and depth that Nana Patekar brought to his characters.“Very sad to hear about Nana Patekar ji. From filming together in Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Gang, to visiting his home in Dadar for Ganpati, many little memories came back today.Rooted and original, he portrayed every character with so much colour, depth and authenticity. He will truly be missed for his iconic presence on the Indian screens..”

Hrithik Roshan hails Nana Patekar’s acting

Hrithik Roshan also paid tribute to Nana Patekar, recalling the impact of his performances while growing up. The actor described watching his work as a learning experience.Hrithik Roshan highlighted Nana Patekar’s ability to combine intense performances with comedy. He also remembered the memorable characters that became part of the veteran actor’s legacy.“Rest in peace, dear Nana Sir Thank you for giving us such authentic and entertaining cinema. Your hard-hitting performances, effortless comic timing and unforgettable characters will always be an inspiration. Sanjay Dutt remembers Nana Patekar as a friend

Sanjay Dutt shared a more personal tribute while remembering his bond with Nana Patekar. He described the late actor as both a brother and a friend.Sanjay Dutt also spoke about the memories they created together. He said Nana Patekar’s passing was a loss for people who knew him and for the wider film industry.“It’s still hard to believe that my brother, my friend Nana is no longer with us. I have so many fond memories of the time we spent together, memories I will always hold close. His passing is a huge loss, not just for those who knew and loved him, but for the entire film industry. The tributes have come from several generations of actors and filmmakers. Jr NTR, Rajinikanth and Anupam Kher have also expressed their grief following Nana Patekar’s death.Nana Patekar began his acting career with ‘Gaman’ in 1978. He went on to deliver acclaimed performances in movies including ‘Prahaar’, ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Khamoshi’, ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’, ‘Natsamrat’ and ‘Welcome’.His career included both serious dramatic roles and mainstream entertainers. He also earned multiple National Film Awards for his work. Nana Patekar remained active in cinema in his later years. His recent work included ‘Housefull 5’, while he also appeared in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘O’Romeo’ and had a cameo in ‘Subedaar’.
