A new Malayalam film brings together actor Mohanlal and filmmaker Anoop Sathyan for the first time. Titled ‘L368’, the project officially launched with a pooja and switch-on ceremony attended by several members of the film industry.The makers also unveiled the film’s first look, which features Mohanlal seated between two young girls against the scenic backdrop of a coastal road running alongside the sea. Colourful origami paper cranes scattered around them add a playful and warm touch to the picture.The film is also special for Mohanlal as it brings him back together with the Sathyan Anthikad family. Anoop is returning as a director after six years, making the film more exciting for fans.Mohanlal announces L368 and shares his excitementSpeaking at the film’s launch, Mohanlal said he was happy to work with Anoop Sathyan after working with his father, filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, for many years. As reported by News18, he recalled his long journey with Sathyan Anthikad, from his first film to his latest one. The actor said, “I am someone who has worked in Sathyan Anthikad’s films from his first movie to his latest one. It has been a long journey. Now, I am happy to continue that association by working with his son. I hope this film turns out to be a good one. It has all the possibilities to become a wonderful film.” He also joked that he was only an actor who would perform whatever the director asked him to do.Sathyan Anthikad reveals Anoop’s childhood admiration for MohanlalDirector Sathyan Anthikad shared an interesting memory about his son’s childhood and his admiration for Mohanlal. He revealed that Anoop was a huge Mohanlal fan during his school days and would often ask whether the actor would feature in his father’s next film. Whenever Sathyan Anthikad said no, Anoop would reportedly stop talking to him for two days. The filmmaker also expressed his happiness about his son finally directing Mohanlal. He added that he still enjoys directing the actor and would like to continue working with him in his next film as well.
