Karan Johar opened up about his Met Gala 2026 debut in a video shared by Diet Sabya, saying the event means far more to him than a red carpet appearance. The filmmaker and producer said attending the fashion world’s biggest night had long been on his “bucket list.” He also spoke about the year’s theme, his look, and why it felt personal to him. It’s something that I believe is very crucial and important to the world of fashion,” Johar said.He added that the event had been a longtime dream. “So, obviously, being on the red carpet for me has been like on my bucket list,” he said.Johar also said the theme connected with him strongly. “And I love the fact that I’m here this year with this theme, a theme that I so, so resonate with in so many ways,” he said.
