'I would like to thank my mother, my father, and dear sister Divya': Jason Sanjay thanks family at 'Sigma' audio launch

Jason Sanjay’s ‘Sigma’ trailer and audio launch turned into a personal moment for the debutant filmmaker as he thanked his family, friends and the people who supported his first film. Towards the end of his speech, Jason Sanjay expressed his gratitude to his mother Sangeetha, father Vijay and sister Divya. He also invited members of his direction and production teams to join him on stage, calling them his moral and creative support throughout the making of ‘Sigma.’ The director ended the event by asking audiences to meet him in theatres when the film releases on October 2.

Speaking about his family, Jason Sanjay said their support remained an important part of his journey into filmmaking. “I would like to thank my mother. I would like to thank my father, who is the Chief Minister today. And I would like to thank my dear sister Divya,” he said. He also spoke warmly about his uncle Sanjeev, whom he described as one of the people he trusts the most. Jason Sanjay recalled approaching him after college with the idea of becoming a director and said his uncle immediately agreed to support him. “Since then, he is someone I can trust the most in this world,” Jason Sanjay said, underlining the personal support behind his directorial debut.

Jason Sanjay also used the ‘Sigma’ launch event to thank several prominent names from the film industry who supported his journey. He expressed gratitude to SS Rajamouli for watching the trailer, asking questions about the film and helping with its Telugu promotions. “He is one of India’s finest directors. He gave us a lot of time during the shoot. He saw our trailer and asked us a lot of questions about the movie. He also helped us promote our movie in Telugu,” Jason Sanjay said. He thanked Dulquer Salmaan for launching the film’s first single and praised Soori for inspiring him. “When I see your growth, not just for me, but for everyone in this auditorium, it motivates me a lot,” he said, adding that he hopes to work with Soori in the future.

Jason Sanjay then turned his attention to the cast, beginning with Sundeep Kishan, whom he described as a talented and underrated actor. “My first film’s hero is a very special brother-like figure in my life. I have a lot of respect for him. He always thinks about how to give a different movie to the audience,” he said. He also praised Faria Abdullah for bringing energy and positivity to the sets and thanked Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Raju Sundaram and the rest of the cast for their contributions. Jason Sanjay extended his appreciation to his technicians, including editor Praveen KL, cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, art director Benjamin M and stunt masters Venkat and Silva. He also recalled the creative discussions that shaped the film’s writing, music, action and visual world.

‘Sigma’ stars Sundeep Kishan, Faria Abdullah, Sampath Raj, Raju Sundaram, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Mahalakshmi, Sheela Rajkumar, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda in key roles. Jason Sanjay directs the film, which is backed by Lyca Productions and marks his first feature as a filmmaker. Thaman has composed the music, while Krishnan Vasant handles cinematography and Praveen KL takes care of editing. The film features action choreography by Venkat and Silva and is gearing up for its theatrical release on October 2 in Tamil and Telugu.
