She recently spoke about her relationship and revealed how her mother, veteran actor Menaka, discovered their romance. The actress said her mother found out about the relationship by reading her personal diary when she was in college.

In a recent conversation with Curly Tales, Keerthy Suresh recalled that she started dating Antony shortly after completing Class 12. She said her diary contained details about their relationship, which her mother discovered while reading it.“I started dating my husband way back. To be exact, I started dating him right after I completed my 12th grade. When I was in college, my mother read my diary. It had everything. She was like, ‘I’m your mother; I can read your diary,’” she said.The ‘Dorothy’ actor also revealed that the incident affected her habit of writing. She said she stopped maintaining a diary altogether after her mother discovered its contents.“The worst part is, I stopped writing a diary altogether after that. I used to love writing, but I don’t even know where the diary is now. I really wish I could get it back. But I have a feeling that my mom burned it,” she recalled.

Keerthy Suresh also spoke about the challenges she faced while convincing her family about her relationship with Antony, who is Christian. She admitted that their interfaith relationship led to difficulties at home and that it took time for her family to accept their decision.“We met in December 2009, and we started dating in January 2010. In 2024, we got married. Since he’s a Christian, there obviously were problems at home that I had to face. It took a while for me to convince [my family]. He had seen me before I became an actor. That’s the best part. We kind of grew up together,” the ‘Mahanati’ actor said.

Keerthy and Antony dated for around 15 years before getting married in an intimate ceremony in December 2024. They first met through mutual friends in December 2009 and began dating the following month, when Keerthy was 17 and studying in Class 12.Antony, who is seven years older than Keerthy, was working in Qatar at the time.
