Ben Affleck and ‘Jeopardy!’ winner Jamie Ding just scored the top prize on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.’ On the latest episode, the duo reached the 15th and final question, and after answering it correctly, they landed the biggest prize of the night together.

For ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, the Oscar-winning actor paired up with Jamie Ding, who previously won 31 games on ‘Jeopardy!’ from March 13, 2026, to April 24, 2026. On July 30, the two finally reached the million-dollar question (the 15th question). Although the tension was high, they answered correctly and emerged victorious.The money won on the show will be donated to Affleck’s nonprofit organisation working on grant-making, advocacy, and making community-building programs. The USD 500,000 question for the duo read: “What achievement occurred just two months after a New York Times article said it wouldn’t happen for ‘1 million to 10 million years’?”Ding stated that the answer could be ‘first aeroplane flight’, to which Affleck fully agreed and explained his reasoning. He said, “I only remember this because it was a time in my life where I spent time looking up examples that the press got things wrong. Yeah, just randomly, and I sort of, vaguely, in my subconscious remember the Times and the Wright brothers and that whole thing was 1905, 3 or 4, or something.” They chose the 50:50 lifeline since neither was sure about it. After banter, they both agreed with the option, with Affleck telling Ding, “My man, I came here with you. Take us. I’m with you. If that’s how you feel, let’s do it.”Kimmel revealed that the answer was, in fact, correct, leaving the two to celebrate and rejoice. They prepped for the USD 1 million question, which read, “In an annual Thanksgiving tradition, all but which of these have been the names of turkeys pardoned by a U.S. president?” The possible answers for the question included Peanut Butter and Jelly, Tater and Tot, Mac and Cheese, and Spaghetti and Meatball. Ding and Affleck chose to use their Ask-the-Host lifeline, to which Kimmel replied that he feels the answer is Spaghetti and Meatball. Kimmel said, “I do a bit about this on the show. Every year”, further joking, “I could see me adding a big bowl in Donald Trump’s hands and him slurping up the spaghetti and meatballs. That one sounds like it wasn’t the one to me.”

As a precaution, they also opted to choose the Phone-a-friend lifeline, which prompted Ding to tell the ‘Gone Girl’ actor that the person he is about to call is one of his closest friends, just like Matt Damon is to him. For the unversed, Damon and Affleck have been close friends since they were teenagers.Ding commented, “Jimmy, you might like this friend of mine,” Ding said. “I mean, Harvard-educated, father, we’re two years apart, but we’ve been through a lot of trials and tribulations together. Just like Ben and Matt.” When the man did not answer the call, the actor joked that his friend is like Matt only.
