Farah Khan reveals Akshay Kumar used helicopter like a taxi everyday to come for 'Tees Maar Khan' shoot: 'Mere paise kha gaya'

Farah Khan recently recalled an unusual memory from the shoot of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, revealing that Akshay Kumar would commute to the set by helicopter every day and still be the most punctual person on location. The anecdote surfaced during a promotional conversation for ‘Bhoot Bangla’, featuring Farah Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan and Rajpal Yadav. As the group reminisced about past film shoots, Farah spoke about their schedule while filming ‘Tees Maar Khan’ in Malshej Ghat.Sharing details of the shoot, Farah said, “We were shooting for Tees Maar Khan in Malshej. The call time was 8 am every day. Everyone stayed there because it was about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Mumbai. But Akshay would go home every evening after pack-up and return by 7:45 the next morning.”The revelation left Rajpal Yadav stunned. Looking at him, Farah and Akshay asked, “Bolo kaise?” (Tell us how? ) With Rajpal unable to guess, Akshay disclosed, “I travelled by helicopter.”Farah admitted she had never seen anything like it before. “For the first time in my life, I saw an actor treat a helicopter like a taxi. But to his credit, he was always on time.” Akshay, meanwhile, was quick to clarify that his travel arrangements never caused inconvenience to anyone else.Akshay Kumar defended his helicopter commute by pointing out that it never created any issues for the production. “But how was it anybody’s problem? I was the producer myself,” he said.Farah Khan, however, was quick with a witty comeback. “And so was I.” The banter soon turned even more playful as she joked, “Mere saare paise kha gaya (Spent all my money on him).”Clearly taken aback, Akshay responded, “Main paise kha gaya? You made the most money on that film!” Refusing to let the joke end there, Farah laughed and added, “Call Ronnie and ask him about our money.”‘Tees Maar Khan’ marked Farah Khan’s third outing as a director after the success of ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’. Headlined by Akshay Kumar, the film hit theatres in 2010 and went on to collect approximately Rs 84 crore at the Indian box office.
