'Ended the same war so many times': Biden Jr. mocks Trump, names him for Peace Prize
Hunter Biden takes a jab at Trump

Hunter Biden has mockingly nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, seizing on a media analysis that found the president has claimed to have ended the war with Iran on at least 38 separate occasions since fighting began earlier this year.In a post on X, Biden wrote that no president in history had ended the same war so many times, adding sarcastically that Trump’s Iran ceasefire claims represented a record no other commander-in-chief had ever matched, and that the president was “nowhere near finished ending it.” He closed the post with “Thank you for your attention to this matter” , a phrase Trump frequently uses to close his own Truth Social posts.

Trump’s obsession with the Nobel Prize

Biden’s jab plays directly into Trump’s very public desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize, an honour that has eluded him despite his own claims to have resolved eight separate global conflicts.Trump was passed over again last year in favour of Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who was caught on a hot mic telling Trump she felt she did not deserve the award more than he did, crediting him with ending eight wars. Machado later presented Trump with her medal after American forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in January.Only two sitting American presidents have ever won the Nobel Peace Prize — Woodrow Wilson in 1920 and Barack Obama in 2009. Trump did receive the newly created FIFA Peace Prize in December, awarded at a ceremony ahead of the 2026 World Cup, a consolation that has done little to quiet his public complaints about being snubbed by the Nobel committee.
