Dulquer Salmaan and director Venky Atluri worked together for the crime thriller-drama, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ which turned out to be a box office hit. As per the latest buzz, the duo are set to reunite for ‘Lucky Baskhar 2’. They confirmed that they are already thinking about the sequel to their 2024 hit film.
‘Lucky Baskhar 2’ is on the cards
Ahead of the release of Dulquer’s upcoming film ‘I’m Game’, the actor and Venky Atluri appeared together for an interview shared by DQ’s production banner. During the conversation, Venky promised that he would return with the sequel soon.“As you finish all your commitments, I promise you, I’ll come with Lucky Baskhar 2 soon,” Venky Atluri said.Dulquer Salmaan reacted to Venky’s promise and spoke about the love he continues to receive for ‘Lucky Baskhar’.“Soon? Wherever I go, people recognise me from the film, and they call me Baskhar,” Dulquer said.Venky also said that he is already feeling the pressure of making the second part. He also shared his gratitude to Dulquer for agreeing to play Baskhar in the first film.Dulquer Salman also added that he wants to continue working with Venky Atluri in the future. “You are the one filmmaker that I’ll work with again, whether it’s Lucky Baskhar 2 or even a fresh script,” Dulquer said.

Speaking of the 2024 film, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ featured Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead roles. The film was a black comedy heist drama and followed Baskhar, a middle-class bank cashier struggling with debts and family responsibilities.Baskhar’s life changes after he gets involved in financial activities that help him come out of his money problems. The story then shows how his growing wealth changes his life and puts him in difficult situations.
