Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen in the upcoming action entertainer ‘Dharman’. The film directed by ‘Dragon’ fame Ashwath Marimuthu, has wrapped up its second schedule. The film is co-produced by Kamal Haasan and has been generating interest among fans with Rajinikanth in a stylish new avatar.The makers shared a new promo online to announce the schedule wrap. Sharing the update, they wrote, “DHARMAN 2nd Schedule Wrapped. SWAG Mode: ON.”
Rajinikanth in doctor look
The new promo features Rajinikanth in a stylish doctor look. The superstar can be seen wearing scrubs in the glimpse. Actress Simran also appears in the promo in a co-lead role.According to a report by Valai Pechu, Rajinikanth is impressed with the speed at which Ashwath Marimuthu is completing the film. The team had reportedly planned a four-day shoot but completed it in just two days.However, this is only a report for now and there has been no official confirmation from the makers.Earlier, Ashwath Marimuthu had revealed that the Rajinikanth-starrer is expected to complete its entire shoot by October 2026.

‘Dharman’ was earlier referred to by its tentative title ‘Thalaivar173’. Rajinikanth is reportedly playing a stylish doctor in the film.Along with Rajinikanth and Simran Bagga, the film features Yogi Babu and Raashii Khanna in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and background score.Niketh Bommireddy is handling the cinematography, while Pradeep E. Ragav is responsible for editing. The Anbariv duo has been brought on board as the action choreographers.There are also reports that Ram Pothineni could play the main antagonist. However, there is no official confirmation about his involvement yet.
Rajinikanth’s upcoming films
Rajinikanth will next be seen in ‘Jailer 2’, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The action drama is expected to feature Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu and others in important roles. The film will be released on October 15, 2026.Apart from ‘Dharman’, Rajinikanth also has the tentatively titled ‘KHxRK’ in his lineup. The project will reunite him with Kamal Haasan.
