Christopher Aaron Nicks, who had been privately battling cancer for some time, has passed away. He was 72 years old at the time of his passing and was legendary pop icon Stevie Nicks’ younger brother.

Christopher Aaron Nicks’ daughter, Nixi Parkinson Nicks, recently took to her Instagram account to announce that her father had left for his heavenly abode. She revealed that he had been diagnosed with cancer around two years ago and had been silently fighting the battle against the disease.She posted a photo of her holding her father’s hand on a grey blanket, sharing that he had passed on in the caption that read, “Second star to the right, and straight on till morning. I love you, Daddy. Rest easy.” She also posted a story on her account to share more details about the news, posting it along with a photo of her father holding onto her granddaughter. She posted another photo in the section and wrote, “It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my father, Christopher Aaron Nicks, early this morning, surrounded by family. Some of you may know that he has spent the last 2.5 years battling a cancer diagnosis, and to some, this may come as a shock. If this is news to you, please know it was because he never wanted people to worry about him; he kept this to himself.”She added, “I know that he has left his mark on so many people, and this will leave many more than his immediate family with a piece of them missing. I know I speak for my dad when I say that his friends, his lost boys, meant the world to him. Rest easy, Coach. We will see you in Neverland.”Tributes also poured in for Christopher after the news of his passing was shared online. While Stevie Nicks is yet to publicly address his demise, her fellow bandmate from Fleetwood Mac, Mick Fleetwood, posted a photo of her and her brother on his account and wrote, “The passing of Chris Nicks has brought so many memories of his amazing life… much of course was shared connected to Fleetwood Mac…… His zest for life will be a forever beacon of inspiration!! Chris, you will be missed by me, and I know the family of Fleetwood Mac. Peace and love… Mick Fleetwood.”Stevie has opened up about her brother over the years. In a 2003 interview with You Magazine, the singer shared that as a child, she was not entirely looking to have a younger brother. She added, “By the time I was five, I was a little diva. I was out of control, so my parents decided to have another child. I hated Chris, my brother. would pull his hair and kick him until one day my father permitted him to fight back. I’ll be apologizing to him for the rest of my life.” However, over the years, their relationship over the years drastically changed, and the two actually bonded together.
