With Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’ slated to dominate theatres, actor-composer GV Prakash Kumar has decided to push the release of his upcoming film ‘Immortal.’ The fantasy horror thriller, which was earlier scheduled to hit cinemas on July 23, will now arrive on September 4. The announcement has caught the attention of fans, especially because GV Prakash openly acknowledged Vijay’s release while revealing the new date. The film marks his first on-screen collaboration with actress Kayadu Lohar and has been directed by Mariyappan Chinna.

The postponement came soon after KVN Productions confirmed that Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ will release on July 23. Sharing the update on X, GV Prakash wrote, “Thalapathy vandha thalli poyi dhaaney aaganum adhuvum one Last time…. Best of luck, team JN … #immortal will release in theatres on September 4th with ur support and love.” His message quickly went viral, with many fans appreciating the warm gesture towards Vijay and wishing success to both films.

‘Immortal’ is described as a fantasy horror thriller set largely inside a single house.
