While the preview has racked up millions of views and the trailer helped sell out all premium format tickets, a section of viewers have criticised the film’s visual effects for its alleged “unfinished” and “unpolished” CGI.
Fans point to ‘unfinished’ CGI
Soon after the trailer dropped, social media platforms were flooded with reactions dissecting the film’s visual effects. One fan wrote, “The VFX and visual quality of #AvengersDoomsday feels a bit odd and quite unpolished. Some closeup shots seem to be a bad green screen cutout with no work on refining the edges and the lighting!”Another viewer echoed similar sentiments, saying, “I still felt like the VFX in some shots of Avengers Doomsday feels incomplete, definitely some work is needed for the upgrade. Another wrote, “I don’t think that Ramayana VFX will be worse than this recent Doomsday trailer... If you know, you know… It’s bad as hell and they tried to hide it with multiple elements. Advance bookings for the film’s premium early screenings sold out rapidly after tickets went on sale on Monday. Tickets for the next big ‘Avengers’ film went on sale, five months before its December 18 release.
