However, in one of her latest shows, the singer cheekily changed some of the lyrics about one of the exes, who was there to cheer on the ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ singer from the VIP pits.

While performing in Austin, Texas, the singer performed her hit song on stage, however, she ended up changing the lyrics a little as a shoutout to Ricky Alvarez, one of her former back up dancers, who she dated from April 2015 to July 2016. Her 2018 song originally features the lyrics “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh.”However, for her performance for the night at the ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour, the singer changed up the lyrics to “Wrote some songs about Ricky / I know he’s still got my back.” The performance took place at the Moody Center. Alvarez enjoyed the shoutout after videos from the concert showed him in attendance, dancing and swaying to the singer’s music while attending the concert in the VIP pit section area.This was not the first time she had changed the lyrics herself. In a concert a few days prior, the singer sang, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / And they still kinda slap” instead of the original version.Besides this, Grande and Alvarez have been hanging out and meeting up for a while, and were even spotted having lunch together in public, as reported by PEOPLE.
