Mollywood actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has addressed the recent reports linking her to Allu Arjun and Atlee’s most-awaited upcoming film ‘Raaka’. The ‘Aasha’ actor has clarified that she is not part of the highly anticipated project.Talking to India Today, Aishwarya Lekshmi dismissed the reports about her alleged involvement. Speculation had recently suggested that she was being considered for a role in the film. Some reports went further and claimed that Aishwarya Lekshmi could portray a negative character.
Aishwarya Lekshmi makes a playful request
Aishwarya Lekshmi denied having any role in ‘Raaka’. However, her response also included a playful request to the filmmakers. “No, I am not part of the film. Somebody please cast me in the film,” Aishwarya said.Aishwarya Lekshmi is currently part of the romantic comedy series ‘#Love’. The series premiered on October 2 and features Arjun Das alongside the actor. In the series, Aishwarya Lekshmi plays Tara. Her character is a dating app CEO who finds herself at the center of a modern romantic conflict.The actor has also appeared in two other projects during 2026. ‘Aasha’ is a Malayalam drama-thriller directed by Safar Sanal. Aishwarya Lekshmi played Anagha in the film, which also featured Urvashi and Joju George.She was also seen in ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’. The Tamil sports comedy-drama sequel saw Aishwarya Lekshmi reprise her role as Keerthi opposite Vishnu Vishal.
Allu Arjun and Atlee collaborate for ‘Raaka’
‘Raaka’ brings Allu Arjun and Atlee together for the first time. The film is planned as a two-part epic. Its narrative reportedly moves across two different eras. The makers have kept major details about the story under wraps. The makers recently released a teaser for ‘Raaka’.The teaser concluded with the message, “Beyond what seemed possible. We Dared to Imagine. We Dared to Archive. Raaka: A global triumph (sic)”. Overall, expectations are high for the Allu Arjun starrer.
