Marvel Studios is bringing ‘Avengers: Endgame’ back to cinemas in an enhanced re-release titled ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’, with audiences set to receive new footage that could possibly connect the 2019 film to the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.Ahead of he film’s re-release, new details about the film and its additional footage and runtime has been revealed. As per reports, the September 25 theatrical return will see all screenings of ‘Endgame: Encore’ feature 1 minute and 58 seconds of additional footage.
IMAX and Infinity Vision screenings to get extra ‘Doomsday’ footage
However, audiences watching the film in premium formats, including IMAX and Infinity Vision, will feature an additional three minutes of exclusive footage from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, giving fans a preview of the upcoming film.
‘Endgame: Encore’ arrives ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
The re-release comes just months before ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 18, 2026.Advance bookings for both films have officially gone on sale. ‘Endgame: Encore’ is eyeing a strong box office opening in India and the global markets at large. The film is reportedly tracking an estimated Rs 10 crore opening in India and will look to rake in the big bucks at the international box office and try once again to regain the box office crown by overtaking ‘Avatar’ at the global box office.Meanwhile, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ tickets are already being promoted for premium formats, including Infinity Vision-certified screens. As per early reports, the film has already scored an estimated USD 50 million from advance ticket sales. This is said to be the highest advance bookings with still three months to go before the film’s release.
