The makers announced the beginning of filming with a pooja ceremony, marking the start of Rahul Sadasivan’s latest directorial venture.Set against the backdrop of 19th-century Kerala, the film is expected to draw extensively from the region’s folklore, mythology and cultural traditions. Here’s to a powerful collaboration and an exciting cinematic journey ahead!”The production marks a collaboration between Prithviraj Productions and Dharma Productions, with Prithviraj also attached to the project as a co-producer.

Rahul Sadasivan has established himself as a distinctive voice in Malayalam cinema, particularly through his atmospheric approach to horror and supernatural storytelling. His filmography includes ‘Bhoothakaalam’ and ‘Bramayugam’, as well as the Pranav Mohanlal-starrer ‘Dies Irae’. With ‘Odiyan: The Age of Illusion’, the filmmaker once again ventures into a world shaped by folklore and eerie, supernatural elements.
