While the makers are taking their time with the film, actress Yogalakshmi has now shared an interesting detail about how she came on board the project and when she first learned that she would be paired with Silambarasan.

Speaking with Behindwoods, Yogalakshmi revealed that she initially had no idea that she would be acting opposite Silambarasan in ‘Arasan.’ Recalling her first meeting with Vetrimaaran, she said, “At first, I didn’t know that I was going to be paired with Silambarasan sir. One day, Vetrimaaran sir called me and said, ‘I want to talk to you in person.’ So, we met and discussed the film.”She also revealed that she had another acting offer around the same time. “At the same time, I got an offer for another film. I told Vetrimaaran sir, ‘Sir, I’ve got another film. If you’re okay with it, I’ll do both films. Otherwise, as you wish.’ He then said, ‘Do this film.’” The actress said the major surprise came when the filmmaker finally explained the pairing.

Yogalakshmi said Vetrimaaran personally told her about the scale of the opportunity. “He told me, ‘In my film, with Anirudh’s music, you’ll be paired with Silambarasan sir.’ That was the moment I came to know about it,” she recalled.
