Directed by Aditya Haasan, the film has received a shoutout from Rashmika, who urged audiences to watch it in theatres and praised the team for presenting a story that she described as “different”, “important” and “very relevant”, while still being entertaining.

Rashmika took to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts on ‘Epic – First Semester’ following its theatrical release. Praising Anand, director Aditya Haasan and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, she encouraged her followers to catch the film on the big screen.She wrote, “And today Epic has released..I hope you catch it in the theatres. Because Anandaa..and Adithya and Vaishu have spoken about some things different but at the same time important and very relevant and at the same time entertaining..Proud of you gang! Rashmika calls Anand Deverakonda a ‘green forest’
Rashmika had earlier spoken about Anand at the film’s pre-release event, where she was asked whether she considered him a green flag or a red flag. The actress had a clear answer. “He’s a green forest, I don’t even have to think about it. I think he’s doing really well without my advice. I will stand in support of whatever he wants in life,” she said.Rashmika also addressed director Aditya Haasan at the event, pointing out the contrast between his personality and the tone of the film’s trailer.“Generally, you look like a shy person, but watching the trailer was completely different as you are showing something else,” she said.She also extended her wishes to Vaishnavi Chaitanya and praised her contribution to the film.
