The second week has brought a more measured pace for ‘DC,’ but the Tamil action drama continues to maintain a presence at the box office. After benefiting from a strong second weekend, the film saw the expected drop on Monday. However, its overall theatrical run remains encouraging, with the film continuing to attract audiences across multiple markets.
‘DC’ earns Rs 2 crore on second Monday
According to Sacnilk, ‘DC’ collected an estimated Rs 2 crore net in India on Day 11, its second Monday. The film registered the collection across 2,165 shows. This marks a decline compared to its second Saturday and Sunday collections, when it earned Rs 5.50 crore and Rs 4.50 crore, respectively. With the latest addition, DC has taken its India net collection to Rs 56.76 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 65.35 crore. The film also added around Rs 25 lakh from overseas markets on Day 11, taking its overseas gross to Rs 21.50 crore. Its total worldwide gross has now reached an estimated Rs 86.85 crore.
‘DC’ sees expected drop in collections
The Day 11 figures show the impact of the weekday slowdown after a healthy second weekend. The film collected Rs 5.50 crore on Day 9, followed by Rs 4.50 crore on Day 10 before the numbers fell to Rs 2 crore on Monday. Despite the drop, ‘DC’ has maintained a solid run beyond its opening week. The film had collected around Rs 41.90 crore net in India during its first seven days. Its second-week performance has since added further strength to the overall total. The Tamil version remains the main contributor, while the Telugu and Hindi versions have also added to the film’s overall theatrical earnings.
