This is a 31.1% drop from the Rs 4.15 Cr earned on Day 7.According to Sacnilk, the movie recorded Rs 3.29 Cr in India gross on its eighth day. Its total India gross has now reached Rs 51.48 Cr. The India net collection stands at Rs 44.76 Cr.‘DC’ added Rs 75 lakhs to its overseas gross on Day 8. Its cumulative overseas collection has reached Rs 18.75 Cr. This takes the movie’s worldwide gross to Rs 70.23 Cr.
Tamil version leads day 8 collections
‘DC’ was screened across 2,062 shows on its eighth day. The movie registered an overall occupancy of 32.1%.The Tamil version contributed Rs 2.05 Cr to the day’s India net collection. The Telugu version earned Rs 80 lakhs. The Hindi version added Rs 1 lakh.Tamil screenings recorded an overall occupancy of 35.96%. Morning shows stood at 18.92%. Afternoon shows recorded 33.08%, while evening screenings registered 28.08%. Night shows witnessed the highest occupancy at 54.08%.The Telugu version recorded 25.92% overall occupancy. Morning shows registered 21.50%. Afternoon shows stood at 25.80%. Evening shows recorded 14.40%. Night screenings improved to 36.30%.
Kerala tops ‘DC’ state-wise collection
Kerala emerged as the biggest contributor to ‘DC’ on Day 8. The state recorded a gross collection of Rs 1.08 Cr.Tamil Nadu followed with Rs 1.00 Cr. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 85 lakhs. Karnataka added Rs 35 lakhs. The remaining parts of India contributed Rs 1 lakh. The state-wise gross total stood at Rs 3.29 Cr on Day 8.
‘GDN’ reaches Rs 5.01 Cr worldwide gross
Meanwhile, R Madhavan’s ‘GDN’ has recorded a worldwide gross of Rs 5.01 Cr. The movie’s India gross also stands at Rs 5.01 Cr. Its India net collection has reached Rs 4.46 Cr.The Tamil version has accumulated Rs 4.05 Cr in net earnings. ‘GDN’ collected Rs 46 lakhs on its opening day. The film then earned Rs 84 lakhs on Day 2 and Rs 1.13 Cr on Day 3. Its collection dropped to Rs 43 lakhs on Day 4.The movie collected Rs 39 lakhs on Day 5 and Rs 36 lakhs on Day 6. Day 7 brought in Rs 29 lakhs. On Day 8, the Tamil version earned Rs 15 lakhs.
