Kunchacko Boban’s latest Malayalam thriller ‘Unmadham’ witnessed a positive jump at the box office on its second day.After opening to decent numbers on Friday the film recorded improved collections on Saturday. The crime thriller, which marks another collaboration between Kunchacko Boban and writer Shahi Kabir, also saw better occupancy during the evening and night shows.According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 78 lakhs on Day 2, registering an 11.4% increase over its opening-day earnings.
Day 2 collections show growth
‘Unmadham’ earned Rs 78 lakhs on its first Saturday after collecting Rs 70 lakhs on Friday. The film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 1.48 crore. Its India gross collection now stands at Rs 1.72 crore after two days in theatres.

Occupancy improves through the day
The thriller was screened across 636 shows on Saturday. It registered an overall Malayalam occupancy of 37.27%.The film opened with 14.08% occupancy during the morning shows. Footfalls increased to 25.42% in the afternoon. Evening occupancy climbed to 42.58% while the night shows recorded the highest turnout of the day at 48.75%.
